The 26th Annual ICCC Convention, hosted by Frank and Kay Browning, will be heading to Huntsville, Alabama on June 28-30, 2018. There will be something for everyone!

Also known as The Rocket City, Huntsville is the home of the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. Huntsville features the Saturn V Rocket and space travel artifacts! Huntsville is a multi-cultural city located primarily in Madison County in the Appalachian region of North Alabama and is the 3rd largest city in Alabama. Huntsville is centrally located between Nashville, Tennessee and Birmingham, Alabama. It is 120 miles south of Nashville and 91 miles north of Birmingham, making travel to Huntsville easy and convenient!

By Plane:
Huntsville International Airport is a public airport ten miles southwest of downtown Huntsville where the convention hotel is located. A free shuttle from the airport to the hotel is available upon request.
By Car:
The main arteries runs north and south on Interstate 65 and east to west on Interstate 565.
Hotel Accommodations:
The Embassy Suites is located at 800 Monroe Street in Huntsville (phone: 256-327-7838) and has offered a group rate of $124.00 per night for ICCC Convention attendees. The Group Code is ICC. Each room sleeps up to 6 and includes a full, cooked-to-order breakfast plus a nightly manager’s reception with free cocktails and snacks. A block of rooms has been reserved for June 28 – June 30, 2018. The special room rate will be available until May 28th or until the group block is sold out, whichever comes first. After the sellout of the contracted block of rooms, the special rate will still be offered if rooms are available. There have been rooms set aside for those who wish to check in early and/or leave late. The same rate is offered, depending on availability.

Camping Accommodations:
Campers are welcome and can enjoy the beautiful Monte Sano State Park, campsites, and cabins! Monte Sano State Park is a publicly owned recreation area and mountaintop retreat encompassing 2,140 acres on the eastern portion of the top and slopes of the Monte Sano Mountain on the east side of Huntsville, Alabama. The campground is about 12 minutes from the Embassy Suites and convention. In Spanish, Monte Sano means “Mountain of Health.” In the late 1800s, visitors from across the United States came for “the season” to experience and enjoy Monte Sano’s fresh air, spectacular views, and mineral springs. Fourteen rustic cabins, 11 of which were built by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC), are perched on the side of the mountain and are equipped with kitchens, fireplaces, separate showers and baths, cable television, outdoor grills, picnic tables, and porches for taking in the amazing sunrises. The park also features 89 improved campsites, a primitive campground, and a camp store.

Volunteers will be very much needed and appreciated! A sign up will be provided 90 days before the convention.
